Or 'Aceca Cobra', built by Werner Oswald who planned for a 200MPH Cobra coupe
although I am told that the car was a little unstable over 180 MPH!
He used a shortened Frua chassis (so effectively the same spec as a Mk 3 Cobra) in
which is fitted a Boss 302 engine and T10 ali case gearbox with Lakewood scatter
shield. Suspension is rose jointed and a front anti roll bar is fitted. The body is
from an Aceca and the interior is retrimmed as standard Aceca and is in excellent
order. Fire extinguisher system and competition belts etc are fitted. Wheels will
probably be Minilites although wires may be available.
The engine has been recently rebuilt with a new Eagle steel crankshaft and new 'H'
section con rods, new ARP chrome moly main and head studs, new Boss pistons, and
new high volume oil pump, balanced valve seats recut bores honed etc. Spec. sheet
and bills are available.
The car has recentley had a suspension overhaul and set-up, uprated with Koni shock
absorbers rebuilt and reset. Front wing vents have been recently added. Silencers
have been re-packed. All in all the car is in excellent order.
