This is an interesting car ex the late Chris Browning and was used
extensively by him over the years including his competing in several hill climbs. It was
believed that he had the car rebuilt in the late 70s or early 80s and that a new body had
been fitted by Tom Bowhill and the engine rebuilt by Eddie Campion. It has a current V5 and
is first registered in the UK in 1987. It bears the chassis number BEX 404 which indicates
that it was originally exported to the USA.

However it appears that there is another car in
the USA bearing the same chassis number so the chassis number on the car pictured here may
not indeed be correct and it is possible that Chris had the car built using a completely new
chassis and body and many other original parts. It is however a very pleasant car fitted with
disc brakes and 15 inch wire wheels and is altogether in very good condition. It is for sale
in its present form which is without engine and gear box. An engine and gearbox
may be available at extra cost. The engine has now been rebuilt with new
pistons etc. and could be fitted if required.
